Training at Denso
Jul 18th
So today, my training period at Denso got over. It started on the 29th of June, this year, I forgot to write about it then. Although I did make notes about the first and second days, I kind of drifted off later. I won’t boreyou my friends with the company profile since I doubt you care at all. Its a big company that makes ECU, fuel pumps, injectors etc for big companies like Maruti, Toyota, Honda etc..I got there on Dad’s reference. The first day was full of oohs and aahs the awestruck amazement of a newcomer at the great awesomeness of the company. These guys were pretty careful about the cleanliness, with dust mats everywhere. Apparently every employee who worked there had to wear different shoes at work than the ones they came in. To keep the company clean. When you got in, you went straight to the locker room. I’ll upload a schematic plan later, which will give you a rough idea of how the company is planned.
Anyways, you went straight to the locker room where you have your company uniform stored, in my case an apron and a cap. In the employees – who by the way are called team members at Denso – case, this was a shirt and a trouser and optionally a cap.
The exact uniforms are described below.
General Office Team Members
Old lace/ sea shell white shirt, black trousers
Plant all divisons but ECU
Old lace/ sea shell white shirt, black trousers and a cap and protective glasses, if you don’t wear your own glasses
Plant ECU
Blue Anti-static shirt and black trousers, a cap and protective eye glasses, if you don’t have your own.
Anyways, on the first day, Dad took me along in the Denso bus in which he himself traveled. So we went and met Jyoti Didi, who’s the receptionist. So anyways, he asked for Jaya Ma’am from HRD. So as we were waiting for her to come, a lot of other people came along: MR. Negi, Deepak Aneja, Prem Singh and manymore. So Jaya Ma’am gave me my temporary icard and we were all done.
That’s the uniform. Anyways so when we first entered, I was given a gate pass at the gate. That is like your own identity card. You need it to stay in the premises and you need it to get out. If you lose it, you must stay inside Denso forever.(kidding!)
So we went to the reception and met Jyoti who was the receptionist and dad’s friend. So anyways, Jaya Maam came over and gave me the rules which are pretty simple.
Wear the apron, icard at all times and the cap as long as you’re in the plant area.
So all that done, Abhimanyu sir came over and took me to the MTD ECU cubicle(It was a more like a small room open on the top and in a corner of the ECU production area. They dealt with any problems in the machines that make the ECUs. So my training began at Denso.

Section 377 finally scrapped: Gay sex now legal
Jul 3rd
Yesterday the Delhi Court, in a historic decison, struck down the section 377 of the Indian Peneal Code invalid. Although it didn’t scrap section 377 in its entirety. It suggested that parts not concerning homosexuality and oral sex be moved to a different section. After which 377 will go where it should always have been, the dust bin.
The day marks victory for the LGBT community as they have long been harassed and opressed. It will also means that there will be no more citizenship in US and Uk for people claiming to be gays.
It was a stupid law that was started years ago by the British and should have been scrapped many many years ago. People have suffered and died because of it. I am personally glad its gone, though I am straight myself. Atleast now
